Enlisted Sept. 6, 1940 at Hamilton, Ontario
He was working as a salesman prior to enlisting.

He died in a plane crash near St. Catherine’s. Sergeant Frederick Edgar Wellington who was the pilot was also killed. His body was badly burned and his ashes were placed beneath the floor in the Chapel at Ridley Collage.

He was the son of Frank Lewis and Lily Whitaker, of Waterloo, Ontario.

Commemorated on Page 19 of the Second World War Book of Remembrance. There is a Tribute to him on the Roll Call of Honour website.
